Association of Commonwealth Universities Summer School, Summer 2017

In response to the ACU Summer School theme 'Creating greener narratives through the environmental arts and humanities’ , Anna was awarded the commission to produce the international delegates' gift.

Each attendee was given a unique ceramic rattling 'seed pod' as a visual and symbolic representation of growth, an incubator of fertile ideas, and an obvious link to the conference theme. The pods was moulded and finished by hand then fired using a combination of materials including recycled waste and compost.
